STOREP 2026: Call for papers

We are delighted to start the new year by announcing that the Call for Papers for the 23rd STOREP Annual Conference is now open! The conference will take place in the beautiful city of Naples from June 25-27, 2026. As in previous years, the conference will be preceded by a pre-conference day dedicated to Young Scholars on June 24th.

This year’s theme addresses one of the most pressing debates in contemporary economics. The Conference aims to foster a debate on all the issues related to “Causes and Consequences of Deindustrialization. Structural Change, Globalisation, and Labour Productivity”, like income distribution, relative prices, and the determination of activity and employment levels both in the short and long run. We invite senior scholars and young researchers to explore the issue through the lens of the history of economic though. Paper proposals are in any case welcome in all fields adopting historical and/or theoretical approaches from multiple perspectives.

Reach the Conference webpage and the Call for papers at https://www.storep.org/wp/23rd-annual-storep-conference-napoli-25-27-june-2026/.

Naples in June is truly spectacular—and highly sought after. We strongly recommend booking your accommodation early to secure the best options.

We look forward to welcoming you all to Naples!
