Through the awarding of scholarships and research grants, the Foundation fulfills its vocation and commitment, supporting the education of hundreds of young scholars from all over the world, ensuring free and inclusive access to knowledge.

The extent of the Foundation’s work can be evaluated quantitatively through the more than 1,200 scholarships and research grants it has awarded since 1967 to young scholars working in various fields of the social sciences.

This institution has always wanted to invest considerable financial resources in education and research, considering this sector essential not only to the needs of the cultural world but, especially, to those of the social and economic world.

The Foundation announces 4 annual scholarships for post-doctoral candidates. Applicants must have been born after January 1, 1993. The scholarships to be awarded are in the following fields of research: economic theory, economic policy, modern and contemporary history, economic and social history, political science, with particular attention to Europe and to the following thematic areas:
a) Development, migration and globalisation processes and their economic, political and social implications, with particular attention to protectionist and free trade policies
b) History of ideas and history of economic, political and social institutions.

Scholarships
The scholarships grants, to be used from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027, are as follows:
– 2 scholarships of € 25.000 offered by the Fondazione Luigi Einaudi for studies related to all the subject areas listed;
– 1 scholarship of € 25.000 offered by the San Giacomo Charitable Foundation and named after Roberto Einaudi for studies on globalization and migration processes, economics and institutions in 21st century Europe;
– 1 scholarship of € 25.000 offered by the San Giacomo Charitable Foundation and named after Luigi Einaudi for studies on current economic, social and political affairs.
