Call for Papers AISPE-STOREP Joint Session @ WINIR 2023 in Catania AISPE and STOREP wish to propose a joint session at the WINIR conference. The conference will take place in Catania on 20-23 September 2023. We invite members of the two societies to submit papers related to the conference theme, or to any aspect of institutional research and history of economic thought. We are pleased to announce the launch of a STOREP research grant of 3,000€ for 2023. The Association’s members are invited to submit innovative small-scale research projects that fall into one or more of the following three categories: research projects in the history of political economy, the history of economic thought, and the history of economics; research projects exploring economic issues on an inter/transdisciplinary basis; research projects explicitly promoting heterodox approaches to economic theory. Proposals are scrutinized on their quality and relevance by a selection committee composed of three members nominated by the Executive Committee, avoiding any conflict of interest. Luigi Pasinetti was born in the village of Zanica in Lombardy, Italy in 1930 and died in Varese, Lombardy on January 31, 2023. He took his first degree from Università Cattolica in Milan in 1955, where he spent most of his academic life, with long spells in Cambridge, UK, first as a student – having obtained his Ph.D. in 1963 – then as Lecturer and finally Reader in 1973, when he left for resuming his post as Full Professor at his Alma Mater. It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Luigi Pasinetti. For many of us he was a master and also a friend. Together with Pierangelo Garegnani he led the classical-Keynesian School. The void he leaves should stimulate each of us to take it upon ourselves to restore, for the younger generations, the taste for knowledge that we inherited from him. Luigi L.
