Topics of Interest
The special issue seeks papers addressing the following (non-exhaustive) themes:
1. How do new approaches such as the New Eco-Social Contract, the Manifesto for a Renaissance, The
Economy of Francesco, and other alternative approaches propose to do research on the economy and
society, and for human-development and capabilities?
2. Do theories and models of the social and solidarity economy offer pathways for human development
and capabilities beyond a response to market failure and towards transformative change?
3. How does research on sustainability transitions, innovation missions and transformative innovation
policy integrate human development and capabilities?
4. Do approaches such as circular economy, ecological economics and post-growth paradigms enable an
analysis beyond extractivist capitalism and for human development and capabilities?
5. What insights do theories of corporate social responsibility, social entrepreneurship and ethical
corporate leadership offer for advancing human development and capabilities?

Goals of the Special Issue
The issue aspires to:

emerging frameworks, fostering theoretical innovation.

and its organizations integrated with human development and capabilities perspectives.

among others.
