raggio verdeCoffee breaks and lunches for participants in the XII STOREP Annual Conference are prepared by the Social Cooperative “Raggio Verde”: a fair trade, ethical, eco-social and biological catering, which respects nature’s rhythms and promotes local producers.

Ristorante BirilliThe Conference social dinner of Friday, 12 June (9 pm) will be held at Ristorante Birilli, at the foot of the hill. The first of five restaurants opened in Turin by Piero Chiambretti, Birilli has a wonderful garden and offers a menu of local food, with handmade pasta and cakes.

The Restaurant is a 25 minutes walk away from Campus Luigi Einaudi (see map below); alternatively, you can take bus 75, direction: Tabacchi, 4 stops – from “Stabilimento GTT” (Bus depot GTT), Corso Tortona, to stop 223 Toselli (C.so Quintino Sella / P. Toselli).

On Saturday 13 June, 12.30 pm, Storep 2015 Conference participants will discover and enjoy the history, culture and beauty of downtown Turin through a guided tour. The tourist guide who will take them on the walking tour is Manuela Montorsi.Manuela Montorsi Manuela has been working, since 2008, as an approved tourist guide in Turin, where she guides city tours for Italian- and English-speaking tourists. She promotes an innovative approach to the knowledge of the history of the city by developing and managing didactic projects for primary-school students. She is currently studying for a Bachelor’s Degree in Historical Studies, with a major focus on the History of the Cultural and Archeological Heritage, and over the years she has been taking part in field excavations with the University of Torino in an Ancient contest and with University of Urbino in a Middle-Age contest. Please sign up at the registration desk on the first day of the conference to take part in the tour.
