The
Italian Association for the History of Political Economy (STOREP) in
collaboration with the University of Padova is pleased to announce its
First Postgraduate European Summer School
on
the History of Political Economy.
The topic of this year is
"The historical roots of heterodox economics".
The School will be held
at the Accademia Cusano/Cusanus
Akademie, piazza Seminario n. 2,
Bressanone/Brixen,
a small South
Tyrol city located in the valley of Isarc river and surrounded by the
beautiful Dolomiti mountains,
from September 12th to September 21th 2005.

The main aims of the STOREP European Summer
School are:
(i)
to provide advanced training
for European postgraduate students in the history of political economy and,
more generally, to broaden the horizons of young economists on the relevance of
the history of economic thought for a better comprehension and further advances
of contemporary economics;
(ii)
to allow postgraduate
students to meet fellows and scholars from European universities and countries
with the same research interests.
Courses will be t aught in English by leading
professors on the field. Classes include intensive lectures and seminars by:

Students are expected to give talks on their
dissertation
or current work. They can present dissertation projects, first draft of
dissertation chapters or newly completed papers. Private consultations with
lecturers are also scheduled.
